History
Harbor is a user connection app designed for canadian residents to connect with fellow citizens to help a refugee connect with a safe home in Canada. Those who choose to help harbor are volunteers who commit to helping the refugees adjust to canadian life in both financial and emotional needs. A minimun of 5 Canadian citizens commited to supporting the refugee’s adjustmen are needed to facilitate the process.
Harbor has been running now for over 8 years and have successfully placed over 2,000 families in new homes with the support of thousands of Canadians. We couldn’t be more proud of our accomplishments. Founded by Harry Berry in 2010 Harbor has played a key role in maintaining safe connections between Canada and refugees from around the world. We also provide monetary relief for those still stuck in war-zones and hope to bring the world together one family at a time.
Safety is a constant goal as there are many who hold concerns about letting in so many immigrants. As such harbor only allows placement of families that have been vetted by the United Nations Security Council as well as the Canadian Immigration Firm. We are determined to help as many lives as possible and that no one has to get harmed in the process.
Join us in our consistent excellence in providing those displaced by war and famine with a fresh start. You can make a difference that will impact someone for their entire lives. It’s no walk in the park, but with your support and perseverance we can help provide others with the opportunity of a lifetime.
