Cranburied

Restaurant Identity

Cranburied is a student project designing a restaurant identity for a post-apocalyptic themed restaurant. It is set with the backstory of being trapped underground in a cranberry factory during an apocalypse. This themed restaurant would allow patrons to play out the fantasy of dining in an apocalyptic world, allowing them to escape into a world were cellphones and gadgets don’t where and everyone is living day to day. As such the identity was designed to feel rustic, as if the owner could only piece together the menu using left over scraps. This project received a “Best Use of Materials” award at Tyler School of Art’s Restaurant Identity show.

Cranburied Menus

For the hypothetical restaurant I designed a menu and secondary menu with household items. As the theme of the restaurant is that of a post-apocalyptic underground, I used typewritter and stencil fonts and based all the foods and items on the one ingredient they had in abundance, cranberries.

Packaging

Designed to match the menus, I also fabricated a variety of cranberry based packaging items. Packaging includes boxes, bags, soap, cough medicine, shampoo, and others.

Identity Book

This Identity Book provides information on the design process as well as information about the current design, to be used to further update the design later on, including typography, colors used, and logo type.

Website

The website accompanies the restaurant design, providing further lore to the apocalyptic situation as well as a brief overview of the menu.
